Dave Foster's Elder Scrolls Oblivion Mods

This is a basic House mod for those of you that would like your own place just outside the city. It's a straightforward mod that should appeal to players that want to turn their hand to modding. It places a nice big Leyawiin house on the road west out of the Imperial City, just up from the Wawnet Inn. Beautiful peaceful surroundings, and very convenient for the city. Plus, what serious out-of-towner wouldn't be without some stables for his/her mounts. You'll find a nice Chestnut, all ready to go.

There will be a companion tutorial to this mod shortly, which you will be able to find on the Oblivion Tools page (Link at top of page).

This is a mod for all those of you that have only just started Oblivion and cannot yet afford to buy a horse, but are keen to discover what you are missing. Take a trip into the Imperial City market and stop by at Rindir's Staffs. Ask him about The High Plains, and he'll transport you to the location. When you get there, find Antoine at the farm and ask him whether he'll let you ride Lightning.

Antoine's got himself a nice racing track up in the High Plains, so you'll be able to ride to your hearts content. Find the wild chestnut and play tag with it. It'll keep you on your toes - it's pretty quick and can turn on a coin. To get started, jump down and give it a whack to get it moving.

Well, that's about it. I would only run the mod when you want to play it for now, just in case there's any spurious side-effects - I haven't seen any. Have fun.

This is just the first of a number of mods I expect to make in the coming months - in between playing Oblivion, of course. This mod is just a bit of fun, but I hope to produce more serious stuff as I get to grips with the Oblivion Construction Set. So, stay tuned...
